Trading a coin that funds a cause
What actually happens when you buy or sell a PumpFundMe coin on pump.fun, and how to tell a linked coin from any other.

A PumpFundMe coin is an ordinary pump.fun coin. You buy and sell it on pump.fun with any Solana wallet, at the same fees as every other coin there. The only difference is where the creator's slice of those fees ends up.
Every trade donates
pump.fun charges a fee on each trade and pays part of it to the coin's creator. For a linked coin that creator is the vault whose fees are locked to a GoFundMe, so every buy and every sell, by anyone, adds to the cause. You do not need to do anything special.
How to recognise a linked coin
- Its website on pump.fun is a pumpfundme.com/coin page.
- That page shows the campaign it funds, the fees collected and the donations made.
- The campaign page lists it among the coins funding the cause.
What this is not
Buying a coin is not a donation receipt and is not tax-deductible. It is a trade on a volatile market whose creator fees happen to go to a good place. The donation receipts belong to PumpFundMe's card payments and are published for transparency, not issued to traders.
